How to Boost Your Sales with a
Strong Guarantee
by Dean Rieck

You didn’t used to see many guarantees for online services and digital products.
But today’s new generation of bloggers and entrepreneurs have discovered that this age-old offline technique can be one of the most powerful routes to more sales.
They know that online buyers are plagued by fears and doubts. And there’s nothing that will kill a sale faster than doubt.
So what makes a good guarantee?
The Teaching Company offers a brilliant example of a guarantee that leads directly to sales.

I’ve been studying the same problem from annother point of view, I reassume this way :
Telemarketing versus Website marketing.
It is obvious that by telemarketing selling a box of olive oil you will obtain “Your call arrives the wrong moment to the wrong person”.
On a website we have absolutely the contrary as everyone landing on your page or has googled for it or has followed a link. But why then also a website usually runs on 1 % and less conversion rate ?
Well I got the intuition , that one point is the phone answering machine effect. The major part of us getting a phone answering machine to answer your call prefers to close communication and recall later. My idea is that this happens same on the website as you are dealing with a dummy computer made smart by a whatever program, but definitively you do not deal with human being.
My solution to it is the clickofono, a flash driven widget allowing whoever from a webpage to call the pageowner by voice and communicate with him, so no need of whatever add on software or the need to know the id or phone number of the receiver. (A working sample on http://www.clickoweb.net , just press Call on the right slider). The tecnology and widget is free and can be build there too, if you want to test it. (In case you do not connect it to g-Talk you have to prepay some credit with a Voip provider, but the call results being pennies, so not a hussle)
